box cutter
I currently work at Kmart, and almost everyday we utilize a box cutter. I find this tool invaluable when it comes to opening boxes as well as packaging, and other various tasks. Many box cutters also have other types of blades or edges on them that can be used as a screwdriver or other uses. Many also hold spare knives in the handle so that you always have extra.
