For those interested I found a new blog for CrimeFinder at http://crime-finder.blogspot.com/. They have more information on this site specifically. We are a electric co-op should we be doing a employee check on our employees? We have never had a problem in the past. We just signed up with www.quickbackgroundchecks.com to do our driving records maybe we will do a criminal background check if they seem like they might have a problem. But who really knows if they might have a problem in their past.. We already get a signed release from all employees when they are hired so I guess if we decide to do this routinely we will have all the releases we need.

What exactly is a employee check? Is it when a employer runs employee background checks on potential new employees. It usually consists of a criminal background check, maybe a credit report, a driving record and a employee verification of past employers. It is law that the employer has a signed release to run a employee check. This is a federal law. The signatures must be kept on file for a minimum of 3 year.
